Found Western Art History texts, latex paint, 2019-ongoing.

Western Art History texts in Canada are taught in Art Classrooms, and reflect histories that create a narrative, and timeline, from ancient art, Roman, Egyptian, selected European art movements and artists, to the Modern and Contemporary Art of America. In this way it misses the stories of lives lived by artists and more, such as the cultures reflected in our classrooms. I paint shapes over text and images guided by the book’s grid system to establish only Part of the Story is being told.
